Basketball Zone Defense – Handouts
Here are all the handouts from our database related to youth basketball zone defenses. Included are basketball plays, drills, and coaching tips to assist coaches with developing the skills of their players. Coaches, Players, and Parents should feel free to download and print out the handouts as needed. All we ask is that you help us spread the word about the AVCSS Basketball website to others (which could be in the form of sharing links). Other basketball organizations may download and share these Basketball Zone Defense handouts with permission from AVCSS Basketball (could be in the form of a simple email), and agree to exchange links to our website.
They are in no particular order. Don’t forget – we are constantly adding new basketball zone defense – handouts to the database – so check back often. Coaching tip – If you have never tried to run a “Junk Defense” before your team is missing out. A well run Junk Defense can help limit your opponents best players scoring ability and ultimately remove the scoring threat. This type of defense works great because teams generally do not practice an offense to “counter” a junk defense. Give it a try.
